Frame (H-2000)
16-gauge, 3/4" square steel tubing shall be used on 17 1/2 " and 16" chair sizes; and 16-gauge, 5/8" square steel tubing shall be used on the 13 1/2", and chair size.
Frame shall be of a sled base design formed from square 16- gauge steel tubing. To give full support to the seat area of the shell, each frame shall be formed using a cross member running side-to-side on which 14-gauge die-formed steel mounting brackets are welded. The cross member is an integral part of the frame. The back area of the shell shall be fully supported by steel back supports, also an integral part of the frame.
Finishes: Chrome Plated or Power Coated (optional glides are required for power coated finish).
Seat Shell (H-2000)
The shell shall be held in position at the rear bottom corners by means of rivets Four plastic bumpers shall prevent chair to chair contact when stacked.
Seat shall be a one-piece contoured injection-molded copolymer plastic seat, firmly attached to the die-formed 14-gauge steel frame. The frame’s steel mounting brackets shall be inserted into molded pockets on the underside of the front of the seat shell. The frame’s steel back support tubes shall be inserted into the molded pockets on the side of the back area of the shell. The shell shall be reinforced by means of heavy ribs on the underside of the seat. There shall be no exposed attachment hardware on the face of the shell.
Shell Colors: Blue, Burgundy, Black, Navy, and Hunter Green.
Glides (For Non-Carpeted Surfaces)
Case hardened steel chrome-plated glides shall be available for chairs that will be used on non-carpeted surfaces. Glides may also be ordered and installed at a later date.
